Meet Dr. Takiyah Nur Amin!
TAKIYAH NUR AMIN, PH.D. IS A DANCE SCHOLAR, EDUCATOR AND ACADEMIC SUCCESS STRATEGIST. HER RESEARCH FOCUSES ON 20TH CENTURY AMERICAN CONCERT DANCE, AFRICAN DIASPORA DANCE PERFORMANCE/AESTHETICS AND PEDAGOGICAL ISSUES IN DANCE STUDIES.
A lifelong celebrant, Dr. Amin is a native of Buffalo, NY – a city which boasts one of the longest running community-based Kwanzaa celebrations in the country. In addition to celebrating annually in her home, Dr. Amin has hosted Kwanzaa workshops in private homes, classrooms and in faith communities for families and communities of all ages and from diverse backgrounds.
She is grateful to her parents for introducing Kwanzaa into the life of her and her siblings and encouraging them to share the tradition wherever they go, with people of goodwill across the country.

The class will take place on November 30, 2022, at 6:30pm. – 8:00pm EST
Registration includes Demio link for LIVE 90 minute Kwanzaa Masterclass with Dr. Amin– the class itself is 60 minutes with 30 minutes for Questions + Answers from registrants
Registrants will also receive Dr. Amin’s custom Kwanzaa handout with summary and information on accessing resources to prepare for your celebration now!
Registration also includes link to submit questions to Dr. Amin before the LIVE Kwanzaa Masterclass that she will answer during the training.
